Now that is a beta I would love to have. I absolutely love pre-rendered
environments and static camera views for the RE series.

I love how the zombies look like theyre straight out of RE2

too bad that video has a very strong glare on it. So does this mean that someone has actually unearthed it or is this just a video that was lost and now found?

    Nice stuff :)

Did you provide this footage? (If so, great thanks to you)

Say, what type of image source was it and what was the capturing device used?

As people have pointed out, it's blurry and glared, indeed, but just wondering like DV or Hi8 and what type of capturing device was used when importing it on the computer. It is probably possible to make a higher quality capture/extract if you used an analog transfer method/source :)

Then I guess that's about as good a quality as we're going to see of that video. I don' think theres any technology to magically resurrect quality from a vhs tape :crying:

To bad. It would be of been nice to see that in higher quality.

I remember hearing about this game years ago. I had no idea it never got released!

what you're seeing is a not-so-high-quality flv version of that video. make sure to download the divx avi (link right above the video) for a better quality version!

Then you should be able to get a much better result (and ofcourse, I assume the stream put up on 64DD isn't exactly an accurate representation of the original encode you made of it).

I've got a pretty good setup for VHS extraction. Although, I have my hands full these days with some projects, but if you're interested in possibly doing a new rip, drop me a PM and evt. some stills from your initial digital encode from before the FLV convertion for online streaming, and we'll take it from there. :)
(Also, seems like 64DD.net is temporarily down. So I'm at least at the moment unable to access it to check out the DivX encode KR155E mentioned.)

Actually, the very fact that it IS an analog format makes it more "possible" to do a better quality re-extraction than what if this was from a nearly identical quality digital source. ;)

Yeah. It looks great. What a shame that it never came out :(

A Resident Evil 1 would be really cool too....

It did come out, for Gamecube. AFAIK they didnt really change too much about the game, other than beefing up the graphics. I could be wrong though:icon_bigg

I also believe that they haven't changed much. The switching system found in Zero was a design idea stemming from the fact that the N64 used cartridge media for storage, making use of the speed it offered.

Preview carts for this game exist. It requires the memory expansion to work.

I don't have, nor have I ever played, the N64 version. But it is definitely leaked from Capcom.
