Hello, I have burned other beta games without problem, But when i burn resident evil 1.5 and swap trick i get black screen but i get audio and can press buttons and hear the menu change, I tryed it in epsxe and it works fine, Anyone have any experience with 1.5 on psx? EDIT: sorry if this is in the wrong section i could find an appropriate section for this problem.
Use an emulator for the purposes of playing the leaked version of this game as it has been altered but not finished meaning a lot of the code on the disc doesn't run properly on real hardware. If you did get it going like I did you'd end up burning your PSX lens and motor out resetting and disc swapping on the console trying to play (though I have a chipped console myself). The original vanilla build works on hardware as will the final version of 1.5 so say the people who are working on the restoration project. Stick to emulators for now, for best results use PSXfin as it works best on that emulator. If you check the "info about resident evil 1.5" thread you'll find a link to the patch which has various bug fixes for the leaked release making it crash less and unlocking more features than are available on the normal untouched ISO of the leaked version.
I messaged zork, and he said it's prob my tv doesnt support NTSC, But it does, Gonna burn a NTSC disc and see what happens, as for ruining the laser i got a scph-1002 so its more prone to ware, Will be modding my ps1 with mm3 next week
