All depends on what you are trading them for and on which end of the deal you are I suppose...

Do you mean Resident Evil Sega Saturn Promo ? (non label sliver disc)

(Note) Resident Evil 1 Promo don't exist on PlayStation version.

You are incredible lucky If you manage to get it, These are hard pure rare stuff to get ! Not all hardcore Resident evil collector's can get hold one of these. Resident evil promo disc only made in 26 copies as I been told due to Sega Saturn limited marketing. They came from Netherlands.

I already have it for 15 years, I sold some RE beta/alphas in the past but however I still kept this due to high price range in the future for the right owner with proper care because of extremely limited Resident evil Promo disc to this day now.

I got two of these and I sold one of them include Paper Sleeve for £310 last year in Private Beta Forum.

The disc on it own will worth around £250 but if it comes with Paper Sleeve then it even more worth for price. There one Resident evil collector who already own a Resident evil Promo disc but he didn't have the Paper Sleeve for itself and he bought it for £50 just for Paper sleeve by some other collector.

There was on sale this year on ebay and sold for £210 without paper sleeve and year before that is £290 with Paper sleeve.

As I far I know, This is a mega rare stuff and you be lucky to have one which you don't see or hear often, it good chance you may not see it again for five years time ! Plus, it probably the most expensive price for Promo disc as far I know to this date.

I hope this help - Good Luck !

    Your welcome

100% that I'm positive that Resident Evil 1 don't exist on Promo disc for Playstation. Only Sega Saturn.

Only thing exist is Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 on PlayStation Black promo disc and Dreamcast promo disc. These come up now and again on ebay but price/or being rare is nowhere being close as Sega Saturn version !

here some old link on ebay other seller and I can't find other links

Obviously RE collectors are nuts because these discs were sent out to retailers all over the place, and we had trouble shifting them for the same price as the retail game! As always, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it - in your case, it's worth what YOU are willing to pay. If you're worried about resale value down the line, that's a different matter.

Uhh, well done for selling for that Greatest TR - it isn't worth anywhere near that IMHO! What you said about there only being 20 is quite unlikely. What people fail to understand about Saturn silvers is THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME DISCS AS RETAIL. They pulled them before they were silk screened and sent them to reviewers. And there would have been more than 20 of those!

The disc is EXACTLY THE SAME as retail. The only difference is that it isn't silk screened. If you could somehow remove the silk screening from a retail disc, you would have the SAME THING. Therefore, there's no way the disc should be worth £210. People who collect RE are obviously idiots ;) As for the sleeve being worth £80 - lol, likewise!

I've seen quite a few of these sell during the years, for anything between £50 - several hundreds. I don't think they are THAT rare. I've been collecting RE promos/demos/protos for many years, and there are a few factory pressed promos I'd pay a metric fuckton more for than the Saturn silver (which I happened to get for free from a friend :), though without the sleeve. :()

Well that's kind of the same thing as saying a Dreamcast white label is just identical to retail, with a different print. Still different. :)

And I'd pay well to get a sleeve for mine! :)

Do your research, it would be impossible to do so. Sega saturn promo disc has two Sega Trademark in ring centre on each side, A to B point, while you can play on A side. Sega Saturn Retail disc has one sega Trademark on B side and you play on B side. So we can tell the difference between Promo disc and retail disc.

    Decades
Well I don't know, I usually seeing from £100 to £150 years ago. Now is more than £200 or £290 to this day. Resident evil collector will do anything to bust their balls to get their hands on Resident evil Promo disc. Way more less common than any Resident evil promo disc on Playstation 1, 2 and Dreamcast.
I put it up on sale last year and my sell price is £100 and next two days, it shoot up to £310 and I was totally unexpected. Usually all Sega Saturn promo disc comes with Paper sleeve or envelope made from Germany. Not Netherlands I don't think.

    fireball

£400 ? You must be bloody mad ! Well I might just got lucky for having Resident Evil two promo disc. Neverless my uncle gave it to me 15 years ago. I didn't pay a penny for it :)

    Edit

I found another ebay link of sale

Yeah, the discs are made in Holland, but it seems the promos are sent to and out from Germany, were I assume Sega had an office. The Saturn white labels have a German address printed on them, unless I'm mistaken.

I also have a Tomb Raider silver I got from a German Sega employee, it came in a jewelcase with a cut retail insert (which I for some reason don't have a scan of on this page): http://www.crimson-ceremony.net/laras/artefact.php?id=tr1-promo1
I also know a guy who has the TR promo in an envelope.

That Correct Decades and thank for that link :)

I made that minor mistake. They do have Sega Headquarter in Germany where they controls production stuff. Sadly I never own a Dreamcast white disc.

Here I just took a picture of Tomb Raider Promo disc with envelope. I was given by one of Core design developer.
    20130128214001.jpg

All Resident Evil Promo disc comes with Paper sleeves and all Tomb Raider promo disc comes with Envelope.

It good that you own a Tomb Raider promo disc because it one of the earliest production disc make.

Anyway I glad you know your stuff and owning these stuff and not member here called retro. I have seen three sale in the past, They worth around £100 to £160.

It ALL depends on how you personally value them.

If you are a proto collector, they're worthless, as they are simply retail copies. I mean that in the literal sense. They're simply the first couple hundred discs off the production line. They just don't have printing on the disc or packaging. It's the equivalent of a production NES cart w/o the label.

If you are a collector of everything RE then it'll be worth as much as any random promo item. There are collectors who will must have everything RE, no matter what. For example, look at store standees. They're just cardboard. Most people would throw them out. But there are collectors out there who love them. Same thing.

This is one of those cases where the value is HIGHLY subjective and isn't really determined by the collector market.
