I tried searching but couldn't find much information on here regarding this console. I have a Resident Evil 4 special edition Gamecube (PAL UK) complete with the bonus video disc that came with it (on a GC Disc). I've been told now that it's apparently quite rare? I was just trying to gauge how many of these were made because I thought there was more than a lot of them out there but a friend has told me not so.

Many thanks in advance to everyone!

Not sure how many there are but they come up on Ebay (UK) all the time. Looking at completed listings the boxed ones tend to go for higher amounts, otherwise they can be had for slightly more than the regular consoles.

But then it depends where you are, in your country they could be pretty rare.

Not sure if they ever published official numbers for it. If was a bundle to promote Resident Evil 4 and not particularly limited like some other versions (FF, Gundam, MGS:TTS). Back then, you could buy it normally in retail shops and they had quite a lot of them available... but of course nowadays, they are still feasible for GC and RE-collectors, so the price is above a regular GameCube if the condition is good. I wouldn't expect anything crazy though.

Isn't this just a normal console with a different lid cap & packaging?

Yeah these are not rare at all and you will find that you can still pick them up sealed from some UK GAME stockists; they were punting them out of the doors at £25 each.

I would estimate this console to run into the tens of thousands in terms of production numbers and would say if yours is complete and in good shape your looking at maybe £40-£50 tops. Sealed maybe £75-£100 if you're lucky!

Thanks for your help everyone! I didn't think it would be worth loads and was planning on hanging on to it, just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything special.
