I finally got another xbox 360 kit just to run this. So far I have played just the first stage, I forgot how crappy the controls on 360 are vs the pc. I don't know how far the review goes into the game,I will have to check. I intend to play my way through it. So far I've noticed there's grenades everywhere. By the time I made it to the execution scene I already had four grenades. This is on normal. Cut scenes are missing. There's no cut scene when the gate is blown open by the chopper.
exactly my first thougt^^ ("wait wasnt there a pic in the fun section thats very related to this comment")
Thanks for sharing this ASSEMbler! I hope to see some pictures or videos of this running to see the differences
I have progressed so far to the mines. I noticed that the first chapter has the "non racist" mix of white, arab and black enemies but from there on it's just all black enemies??? I'm wondering how to try and trigger a debug menu if anyone has ideas.
Why does it say Xenon on the disc? I thought that was just what they called the 360 before it had an official name. Why would they still be using it in 2009?
Going from that title screen and the date, it looks very close to final so there might not be much different. I would be curious if there is any debug code in there, maybe even something that allows different character combinations in story mode...(all the needed voice clips are in the game IIRC)
Loooooooool! That reminded me the Sonic Xtreme case you discussed about at RetroGamer magazine (from where I learned about this forum).
Vetus: then you missed the "fun" part about the whole Sonic Extreme affair, such as a DDOS attack on ASSEMbler, and other fucked up shit.
If there is a debug menu, wouldn't you think it would be accessed in a similar way to the Resident Evil 4 trial's debug menu? Or maybe you need to look on the disc's file system and change a config file to enable the debug mode first.
It might be like Dead Rising 2's debug menu on the 360 where you needed to click down on both sticks to bring the menu up. Or there was the secondary one that required holding LB + RB and pressing left or right on the D-Pad to choose other options.
