Version is 1.000 with a date of 2-23-2000. The date is after the Japan release but only a week before North America's release.

What's the value of both discs and what are the chances of there being any difference from retail? My assumption is that it's probably identical to the release but I'm not experienced with this.

    Thanks

I don't have them I was more looking to obtain them if priced right. So $200 US would be over paying?

Basically for everything that has "Resident Evil" on it, you can throw logical pricing out the window. Most likely it's *just* a review copy, which usually ends up being identical to the retail experience. $200,- sounds reasonable for a RE-'beta', personally I think it's not worth that amount of money though, but RE enthousiasts will beg the differ ;)

The discs were on eBay, the seller got an offer of $250 and sold them. I was on the fence with getting them only because it's most likely exactly the same as the retail version and I didn't want to spend over $200 on it just because it's a prototype. Now if it were a NES/Famicom Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 or 3 I would have purchased. ;)

I think they came from Sega and were duplicated from final ROMs for review purposes. Anyway, they are still great collectors items and $250,00 is a good price for the original Resident Evil GD-Rs.

Resident Evil stuff is always valuable and expensive.

Damn, I would have paid a lot more than that, $500+++. Do you have a link to the auction. I'd like to see the pics.
