Does anyone have more info? Beyond the all known info such as rodrigo side story, re2 claire costume, fps camera, and most zombies being the prisioners ones. I wonder what the guardian dude role was.
Beta builds and the unused concepts, items, etc... For example, is there more info about rodrigo side story (all i know he was meant to be a child with the island inhabitants) and what role the guardian had in the game?
RE: CV had quite a few interesting elements implemented that they had used in RE 1.5. Claires clothing could be ripped and get blood stains on it, the spiders came out of the vent the exact same way they did in 1.5, there were a few other cool ones but i can't recall what they are right now. Claire's ripped clothing: Here's another old CV picture i found in the archives, Claire with the AK-47:
Yup, i know that from imac wesker videos, you can even notice that the new challange conference 98 model and the re2 model are the same, but in the end capcom used the NCC 98 outfit with blue pants. Also the game was meant to be more gorier.
There's a good chunk of video footage of Claire in her RE2-ish outfit. There's one piece of "curious" content that can be found on all copies of Code: Veronica X/Complete (or, well, haven't seen if the files made it all the way into the Code: Veronica HD data set too), and that's the two mock up pictures for a character and stage selection screen for some sort of scrapped (probably 3D fighting) mini-game to've been included somehow. Here's the two pictures Here's the guide on how to fish out the files yourself Edit: Should probably point out that ... no, that wasn't an April fools (the joke was that it was so batshit insane and far-fetched that people seriously wouldn't believe it to be true if we published it on the 1st of April.)
For anyone wanting to fish those out, there's an easier way for the Dreamcast version. You can extract the AFS with an AFS extractor (not hard to find, there's a few different ones) and then just view the PVRs with a program called PVR viewer.
It was indeed real. I was sitting around trying to come up with a good idea for an April Fools that year, when Scream asked me for help opening those pictures (since he only managed to get scrambled/unclear output, but which were still good enough to see something "fishy"). We decided to hold it back for a few days and drop it out in public on April Fools - let the crowd fool themselves (since it was kinda hard to top the stuff we pulled the year before - at least on short notice) ;D
does anyone knows how to open textures, items, menuscreens and other stuff?(For the dreamcast trial i mean)
