These days you get all sorts of stuff free with games but what about the days gone by? Post here the free stuff you got with your games before the days of PlayStation and Saturn. I'm talking 16 bit and back. One of my most treasured free gifts was the CD Single that came free with the Super Famicom version of Final Fight Guy.

I would play this to death. There are 4 tracks on it whiach are all remixes of the original Final Fight music.

Not really On topic, but I just went to the San Diego Comic con and got a lot of video-game related freebees, including:

a "Vote for Bison 2004" button, a small megaman figure, and a Nash sketch from the Capcom booth

Lots of flyers, postcards, posters, etc. from the Nintendo Booth

I'll try to get some pics up; shame I didn't have a camera to take pics of the displays. There was all kinds of shit flying around everywhere (a lot of it game related.)

It was slim pickings during the 8/16 bit era. The only freebie I even remember was Killer Cuts cd that came with Killer Instinct. Not a whole lot until the 32 bit era.

No problem :smt023 Can't see ripping a free disc that's over 10 years old hurting anyone.

I bought Last Bronx (JP) for Saturn here and I think it comes with a soundtrack CD (havent opened it yet). Also, Burning Rangers (JP) comes with the soundtrack on a mini CD. Apart from that I dont really know any (maybe that Cotton teacup that Yakumo has?)

Yes, they do fetch quite a bit. If you have the full set (think there are 5 in total) you can get a really nice price for them. I'm keeping mine :smt024 It's too nice to give away and besides it was my very first prize for having to speak Japanese to someone. I remember it now. Back in 1996 or was it 1997 ETCS I slowly approached these Japanese women who were all rabbiting away in Japanese. They were so beautiful that I was quaking in my shoes hoping that I wouldn't make a complete arse of my self. Anyway, I managed to pluck up the courage and ask the lady standing next to a table of white boxes if I could have one. She smiled at me and said something in Japanese that I couldn't understand then handed me one of the boxes. I was so happy when I opened it up and saw what was inside. Defiantly the BEST free gift at ETCS that year.
