Hi Everyone, As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of Asian retro video games. For the longest time I've visited obscure corners of the internet to talk about game copiers, strange Chinese hardware, odd Asian video games, and other stuff. Unfortunately, it seems that this kind of information is starting to die out. For example, the the Tototek forums generously allowed users to share and talk about Copier information, modification, and sales when no other place really existed for that. But as time goes on, more and more of the 'old-timers' who knew loads about this stuff are starting to move on to greener pastures. Once I started seeing old friends disappear from the forums, I decided I better do something before it was too late! So to that end, I decided to parley my own computer knowledge and experience to start my own website. One which would be dedicated to preserving and sharing Asian retro video gaming, culture, and everything in between. Finally perhaps, a centralized place where we can save all that kind of information before it gets lost for good. Right now it's pretty much brand new and bare, but people will be able to register and contribute to the forums. Hopefully within time, we'll have a large catalogue of tools, rare documentation, modification guides, copier BIOS files, strange ROM dumps (i.e. Chinese originals), odd Asian PC games, and other things that might be eventually forgotten. I don't know how many people would be interested in this kind of endeavour, but given how much I appreciate AssemblerGames over the years, I figure I might as well try before it becomes too late. Cheers, and hope to see some of you soon! https://www.supercom32.net/
Thanks for the compliment! It is sincerely gratifying to know people appropriate your work. I'm sure there are still more things I could do with the style and layout (The right side bar will have more items), but at least I know I'm on the right track. Hopefully once we get more content setup, it will be a major destination for native English speakers. I'm sure some of this information is probably available on the Internet still, but I really don't relish the idea of people having to register to some obscure BBS, just to dig up some 10 year old Chinese post with links/files that may or may not even be active anymore. PS: We're always looking for contributors who can help manage/upload/flush out more of the site (Downloads, etc). If anyone thinks they have lots of files or information from back in the day that would be worthy of saving, please do reach out. I'd be happy to get your PM!
I'm on this ASAP, Alex you know i love copiers! still need that turbo game doctor 6+ for famicom/famciom disk
Thanks for all the positive response! Again, if you feel you have something you'd like to add or contribute, do not hesitate to send me a PM! It will take time for this to grow since all of this is volunteered time and effort, but once word gets out hopefully it should pick up steam soon. Edit: Just added my first entry to the DOS category... 天使帝國一 aka Empire of the Angel! I remember playing the second game to this series as a kid, but sadly my disks have long since died a horrible and poor death. I'm rather glad I had the foresight to archive these kind of things. At least now they have a home instead of being lost to the digital void forever!
Indeed there is! I just finished adding a whole library of commercial Famicom hacks to the download sections. These were hacks made by companies and commercially produced on cartridge form (No homebrews / user hacks). You'll have to pass a minimum post requirement to download stuff (we might lower the bar a bit), but I'm sure you'll probably exceed that in no time. If you have any Famiclone information, pictures, or resources you'd like to add, please feel free to do so! Since we've only just started, I encourage users who are passionate about a subject to contribute what they can, so that the sections you care most about grow accordingly!
Just updated: New scans for PC98 software, as well as PC-Engine titles! Games added to the PC98 section too! In addition, download and user promotion rules have been relaxed! If you wanted to participate, now is the perfect time!
