I wouldn't say Holland was an 'international' country (it's not much different to any other country in the EU...) I remember when my wife and I first went there years ago and I would always ask people "Do you speak English?" and receive a rather puzzled look (almost offended!) Truth is, like most of Scandinavia, Holland doesn't dub anything (or very, very rarely...) So, films, TV - it's all in English with Dutch subtitles - and, consequently, they all understand and speak English - you'd probably struggle to find someone who doesn't! If you have any doubts about the language barrier - don't worry because there isn't one
I go to many vinyl record fairs here in Finland, where there are people from all around Europe selling their stuff, and naturally they all speak English. Even the old fellows selling really old records. So I'd imagine that people involved with video games could speak English, if you know what I mean... ...and FFS, how is Holland a part of Scandinavia??? Anyway! I'm interested in photos and videos from the convention. Helsinki is not that far away from the Netherlands, so I might actually visit one of these in the future
