Havent had time to really give it a full read, but after giving it a quick glance im liking what i see so far, good work!
Well, overall a very nice job! It is colourful, there's plenty of variety in the page setups without the text becoming too hard to read due to picture backgrounds - always a toughie! I've only skimmed through, but it is certainly a fair old chunk of material. My brief glance makes me want to sit down and read it when I get some spare time, though - and that's quite a feat in itself! So kudos for the effort put in and the result. However, it could have had a bit more attention on the editing side. Just reading the Empire Strikes Back article shows several flaws. The white picture borders used aren't always even. I was flicking through at 50% and some of the edges are missing! Zooming in to 100% reveals that what happened is some of the borders were drawn with a thinner line than others. Oh, and who the hell is Hand Solo? That sounds rude!! the fly across? the frozen wasters? Three spelling mistakes in the first sentence doesn't bode well for the credibility of the publication. That said, I won't be too harsh, as reading the article I am not sure that the author is someone for whom English is their first language. If it is - sorry! If it isn't - great job, really! I would have expected some of the article to have been cleaned up by the editor, though. One hint - spellcheck is no substitute for reading the article through yourself. Several times. Then passing it to someone else to read. Then someone else. I'm not trying to slate the publication. It is obvious that a lot of effort has gone into it, and overall I'd say it was a marvellous job. I just think that perhaps the editor might have done a better job. You can give yourselves a pat on the back, though! I'm assuming you had something to do with it? It seems from the site that you are after writers. Perhaps this is the ideal opportunity for Gamesreview to get some experience in the field? ;-)
