hi guys , i heard of this from RetroRGB and a Youtube video a couple of weeks ago and decided to try it out. It is a method that uses just the sun only and nothing more. I will include 2 pics of a Saturn Controller i have done , also some times. I was only getting a UV Index of 2-3 , with some overcast days and a few full sun days. I still want to do more days on the Controller and i have done about 3 days on a Saturn top shell of the Console. Incredible Retrobrighting Discovery! Deyellow Plastic with just Sun? No bleach/dismantle. FAQ times 1. 7:20am - 1:00pm 2. 8:00am - 3:00pm 3. 8:30am - 4:00pm 4. 9:00am - 4:00pm 5. 9:00am - 6:00pm 6. 9:00am - 6:00pm 7. 9:00am - 4:00pm 8. 9:00am - 4:00pm
Very interesting. Looking forward to the results. I wonder if you could put it in a transparent container and just leave it outside for a week or two.
hi Vos , i'm not sure on a transparent container. Today was day 9 on the Controller and day 4 on the Saturn top shell.
update , some before and after photos of 5 days with the top shell.....i still want to do more of course.
update ........ today is day 12 of the SS Controller and i think this may be the best i can get it. 2 photos below top day 8 and below day 12 , if you refer to it's starting point the Controller has come a long way. I'm not a photographer and in the flesh the Controller looks whiter than pictured , i tried as much as possible to get the photos as accurate i can
