Anyone remember this excellent 3DO title and later Playstation game? Apparently the Saturn version was finished but never released due to incompatibility with the Hitachi Saturn and was held back to be fixed, Unfortunately around this time the Saturn was being discontinued and the project was scrapped at the last minute and never released... UNTIL NOW! http://www.sega-saturn.net/returnfire.htm 258mb download and the original box art/manuals are available for all 3 regions (USA,Europe and Japan)
Heh nice, will grab this when I go home. I've read through the blurb too, very interesting. (Also BIG props to you if they are due!! I couldn't see your name accredited so can't be sure)
Oh that's just brilliant: "Der Gegner ist Ihr Feind." ("The opponent is your enemy.") ROFL Great release!
I remember seeing something about it on Sega Xtreme, like they were trying to get it to work but I don't recall when or how far they were.
Wow, this is fantastic stuff. I've got to download this as soon as I get home tonight. It's also great to see all the different covers although I must admit that I have seen that Japanese cover before. It must have been a promotion sleve. Yakumo
Does anyone see an email link to the webmaster on that page? I have a question for him. I can't read German.

Return Fire was never really on the same level of anticipation as other completed-yet-cancelled Saturn games such as Clockwork Knight: Penguin Wars, but any release - whether official or not - is good to me, even if the few reviews I've seen of this one criticise it for being a slightly rough port with a slow frame rate.
I lost count of the number of people who still argue this many years ago, but I can assure you Return Fire was NEVER released for the Saturn in any shape or form... until now, that is!
Yet, I am almost positive I rented it from Blockbuster (UK) back when they were still renting Saturn games. The only thing that makes me question my memory is the flame war that was generated a long time ago on Usenet when I retold my experience a few years ago and adamant Saturn fanboys told me I was wrong. Also, I am not the only person that claims this
