reversing controller adapters?

    Hello all

    This is probably not going to work as it would have been done already but....

    If one were to purchase a controller adapter such as the one below:

    Would changing the ends result in it working in reverse? I presume its not that simple but wanted to ask anyway.

    Just to clarify:

    if you changed the 'male' Gamecube end to a 'female' Gamecube port

    and swapped the 'female' PS port to a 'male' PS end

    would I be able to use a gamecube controller on the PS2?

    I don't actually want to use a gamecube controller on the PS2 but this is the first image of an adapter that popped up, I actually want to use a Gamecube controller on Dreamcast

    No. The controller data typically flows one way.
