I did a search to see if anyone has posted a topic on this, but couldn't find one. In May, in Wolverhampton, is a large retro gaming event called "Revival". Here is the link : http://www.revivalretroevents.com/ In the "About" section it covers what this event is about, but basically they will have a stack of old arcade machines, consoles, speakers, traders, competitions, etc; it will be an awesome event. Have a look at the website for details. Why am I posting this? Well, i'm one of the invited speakers for the event! I'll be doing a couple of presentations on the Saturday about modding and my Project Unity system! If you look on their site, under "Exhibitors" it has my name there without more details at the moment, until I finish the Unity system and there are pics on it; you can also see a list on their site of the various traders and speakers there under "Guests", eg Archer Maclean and other names from the '80's. So, i'll be there on Saturday 18th May, anyone else from this forum going to the event too? Being in the middle of the UK is handy as fairly central. Would be nice to have people attending, playing on all the arcade systems is free, so might be a chance to have a few matches too! A video they uploaded : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGsTtp6S8uc
I'll be there for both days with a friend. You must be John Grayson in the Exhibitors list. Looking forward to your presentation about Project Unity.
Yes, that's my (real life) name! I'll just be there on the Saturday, my wife is coming along too, and she is liable to get a bit bored as gaming isn't really her thing, but she wants to join me anyway. There are liable to be lots of people wearing custom printed T-shirts there, and i'll be one of them; so will be easy to spot! lol
If I lived out there I would've been there with you guys Do these types of events ever happen in the US more specifically near California?
