Again, without going through the whole "how and why you would need your entire room plastered in sensors" thing, this is old news.
I'm not sure if they are referring to rumble or actual force feedback... Hope it's real FF but would that even fit in that controller?
yeah, that's what i was talking about too, since the controller sense every move, and that rumble actually make the controller quickly move in every directions, it will certainly destabilise the controller's possition in 3d space. (EDIT: Hey! imagine a sniper game like that! With the rumble function acting like your heart beat, or breathe, and making your life thougher. ) i still imagine playing mario kart by taking the controller horizontally, and steering it like a real steering wheel. Now to go faster, just tilt the ''bar'' to the front, tilt it back to brake. And that big A button to shoot things at people. Actual force feedback would be great, but i have some doubts. i still hope though. Edit: BTW, i was refering to this line: damn, i find myself thinking about all sort of things for this controller, it's so versatile, it amazes me.
Yeah Baby! taken from ign, in today's update. :smt045 http://cube.ign.com/articles/655/655822p1.html Edit: heh, i just remembered that force feedback isn't really gyros...time to go to sleep. well, it does the same thing if i remember right.
Anyone know if the rev controller can sense back and forth movement(as in moving the controller towards the tv) or just left, right, tilt up,tilt down?
yes, it does. It can sense your movements in a 3d space. it can sense if you're close or far from the screen, if your moving forward, backward, to the left, right up and down, and can even sense tilting backward, forward, left and right. It can even sense the lenght of the move, if it's long or short, or if it's quick or slow. Oh, almost forgot, it knows where you're pointing on the screen too. so it can do way more than a mouse in an fps, by exemple. you could reload by tilting forward or do a melee attack by tilting back ward. you could aslo peek at corners or doors by tilting left or right, and even go closer to your tv to zoom with your snipe. I don't undertsand why some people think the controller have not enough buttons. A game like halo or Battlefield could easly fit on the standard ''nunchaku'' controller.
"the controller gyroscopic-like detection" Detection. Not out put. I guess it's just a rumble feedback :-(
This "Gyro" tech was introduced before on the N64 thru Pelican Accesories. Worked great for games like rogue squadron. It was the same shape as the rumble pack so I was confused as to what it actually did until I actually tried it.
