So, have you guys seen this list of emulated games that will be available for free on the Revolution in Japan? http://news.gaminghorizon.com/media2/1118026860.1280.html It's just rumors, but if it is true, there's two really cool things I noticed. First, the presence of DD Sequencer and Wall Street on the list. Those were cancelled 64DD games that as far as I know were never ever released on the N64. Dezaemon DD and Zelda DD are alsoon the list, but these may be Dezaemon 3D and Master Quest, respectively. If Nintendo does release those games as ROMs for the Revolution, maybe they'll also release Mother DD or some of the other stuff they've got stashed away for the DD and other systems. The other cool thing is that the Mario Artist Communication Kit is on there. The only reson to include that would be if Nintendo was going to revive the online functionality of the Mario Artist games for people emulating them on the Revolution. However, those two things, especially the second, could just as easily be signs that this list is full of shit. Another sign of something fishy is that there's games (for the Famicom at least) on that list that were US-only games on the list. Though, if they're releasing previously unreleased games, I guess they might also release some games that were never domestically released. It's a damn nice list. Though, of course the US list isn't likely to be so nice. With all those games, it would hardly matter if any good original Revolution games ever came out. Gotta have a better controller for SNES stuff, though. Hopefully, nintendo is planning on releasing a line of retro controllers that mimic the orignal system controllers just for people playing these emulated games. ...word is bondage...
i wonder where they would take that from...especially if no other places have that list. It's obiviously a fake.
Yep, thats a list that was floating arround the net a while ago. Its been proven (and is obviously seeing as many of the game listed were canned) fake.
has it even been confirmed if the real list will include nintendo only games or all past releases from all their consoles? I've heard both, but I doubt the second. I think this would make a huge difference in the quality of their backwards compatibility plan.
i wonder if you'll be able to play multiplayer online matches with old games. imagine playing Mario KartD!!, Contra, or anything like that, with true online support.
how about, games like mario kart dd, or kirbys air ride, all of which have lan, with some software on the revo, they could make these gc games online
They said they would 'enhance' some games, who knows. I'd kill for an online based Goldeneye or Diddy Kong Racing at a steady framerate. =]
indeed, a golden eye or perfect dark multiplayer online support would be really cool...but it's made by RARE, and you know the story about rare..
well, if goldeneye is even on the list of games, making it play over the internet should be fairly easy. I know people do it with tecmo super bowl... oh shit, there's a great game to play online right there...
