It looks DS-ish but could be a hoax: I’m going to give the GoNintendo folks the benefit of the doubt here because a) the screen, which is apparently a CRT, has those little CRT lines b) the design LOOKS feasible, but not nearly kid-friendly enough and c) the guy said his cousin took these. And this isn’t just any cousin. It’s his first cousin. I say it could be, but since it says "alpha" (upper left corner) the final is going to be different for sure...
Fake. Fake Fake Fake Fake Fake. Whats the point in a calendar? Theres no need to connect to wifi from what I understand of the rev. You'd connect to wifi in a game to play online, and by opening virtual console you can download new games - but it seems confusing to have connect to wifi to allow you to download roms as well as virtual console to play them Finally, It's bloody ugly, and wouldn't just say "alpha" it would say the build number I expect. Theres not going to be one alpha, you need to distinguish between them
I hope it's fake, looks like someone threw up, moved it around, threw some nes,n64,snes controllers in there and presto!!!! GUI
if it's real. it wont suprise me. The DS Bios use to be all text based with incorrect spelling in the early days (I had access to early units).
It's fucking horrible. And the controller designs (in the Virtual Console option) suck ass. Designwise, it's obvious it's not remotely close to something final, in the .02% possibility of it not being a pretty cheap fake. but I might be wrong.
Lol, when you adjust the brightness and contrast of the original you can see the audio and video cable sticking out of the TV :110: It's also not logical that those lines on the TV are straight, because the TV stands crooked!
It's fake. I've never seen such crappy looking scan lines from taking a photo from a TV. Pure fake ! Yakumo
Hell yeah, Never seen a TV with a straight interlacing pattern when the camera is at an angle and tilted slightly
Oh, cmon! didnt your mother told you to not take whats on the internet for cash? Pure fake, like the 20 others.
Regarding the Revolution interface photo we posted earlier today, Kotaku reader Kathleen checked the pic’s Exif data and found that it had been edited with Photoshop 7.0 at 11:08am on the 25th. That makes it about as real as a three-dollar bill. The problem is, that is not the same pic:
gotta love the internet. Just because something was open or edited in photo shop defines it's fake (not like anybody resizes pictures right?) Anyways not saying it's real or not but god people base things on be real or fake on the dumbest of reasons.
the bars are what makes it fake, it way to straight and perfect, plus the interference looks like a rip off of the ds interferance.
Regardless of whether the image is fake (and you're blind if you think it's not), the GUI will be tweaked, scrapped and changed all the way up until the console's release.
It would sure be nice to have an interactive GUI. Something like a garden which would grow depending on how many games you own.
