As far as I know the SNES already displays RGB, you only need the right RGB cable. Or is that only true for Europe?
I think it's just down to having the right caps in the cable. The SNES 2 (the mini) needs RGB modding but original US SNES consoles should be fine with RGb providing you have the right hookups.
Yes it's only the PAL model that requires the removal of the capacitors on the RGB lines (when using a NGC RGB SCART cable). AFAIK all the original (not Jr.) SNES/ SFC models support RGB on the multi-out connector.
