I've been wanting to play A Link To The Past recently but i'm afraid i have no monitor/tv anymore!

Only thing i have is my Sony projector (1024x768). It has Composite - S-Video - VGA.

In the manual i found the following information

    50 HZ - 15.325 fH (kHz) - 50 fV(Hz) supported

together with a lot of other resolutions/signals - some with the remark Sync on green or H pos/neg V pos/neg

Am i correct assuming i can just buy a Snes RGB cable - attached the RGB data lines to the corresponding VGA data lines (R/G/B and connect the ground) and have RGB output to my projector?

If not i'll stick with S-Video

Because it runs in 15khz you may be able to do that. But you might run in some sync issues.

EDIT: your scart cable must have the sync wired, some scart cables use the composite wire for sync. Thus for what you want, you would need to build a sync striper.

    Thanks for the info

So if my beamer really supports this signal i should be able to get RGB by connecting the RGB lines to the VGA - and using the scart Sync (might need http://www.gamesx.com/misctech/lm1881.htm to strip the sync from composite).

Seems like a €10 project! Lets hope i can get it to work :)
