I've a Halo 3 special edition green XBOX360. It's a CB 4578 board. I followed the tutorial, installed a Matrix Glitcher, dumped the NAND, flashed the ECC, which was generated by 360 Multi Builder 0,7. However it doesn't boot anything, no video nor sound... Power light is on, no blinking. I didn't solder any capacitors, just closed the fat jp. I used an IDE ribbon cable btw. I appreciate if anyone shows me a solution...
bin the matrix glitcher they only cause problems never got one to boot on one, get a team xecuter coolrunner and try again
Matrix works fine, your suggestion just costs him money to buy something he already has. Used matrix and 360glitch cheap boards in all consoles an had no problems. Cool runner being any better is just marketing.
Oh and it just sounds like the matrix chip hasnt been flashed? You need to flash the chip before use AND flash the ECC to the xbox.
TX Coolrunner is just easier on non experienced people. That's all about it. And the official Brazilian reseller of Matrix sold us five chips, one came loose and exactly the one that came loose was faulty. When we sent it back for warranty they said it was a fake chip. WTF. Never buying anything from them ever again.
Not really... you still have to solder the same connections. Its not easier than any of the purpose made chips. Easier than the cmod, sure. Personally I just used these now: http://x360glitch.com/ Cheap, work fine.
The xecuter chip comes with pre-cut wires and a bunch of headers and adapters which once installed are solder free. That's what I meant. Also, just mentioning if the CB on the Zephyr is 4577 you're out of luck as it's a dual CB (Trinity style)
I Programmed it by using impact software and zephyr file. I've no problems about my soldering skills, all the connections are right, tested multiple times. I saw some people are using caps 640pf to point A and 100nf between F and Gnd. Is it true? I haven't tested it. I bought that matrix chip from sunsky, but it's detected and programmed by Impact without any hassles .
It's tricky to get the glitch timing right, because it is fixed on a certain time window, you have no much room for tweaking with CPLD edit software Without, (using default JED file) the only thing you can tinker with is the size of the wires on A and F. You want to keep all the other wires as short as possible, btw. Too short or too long A and F wires and it won't glitch.
I tried to mod my Slim today. I soldered the jtag points and installed the matrix chip without the VCC and Gnd pins at the same time. However Nandpro displays "couldn't find the flash controller" error. Then I desolder the chip, and plugged it to TV, nothing but just a beep sound whenever I press the On button. According to the following guide there is a protection on the console. Is it true? Thanks. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/top...flash-controller-or-202-programing-error-etc/
