RGL original Xbox compatibility hack

Hey all, not sure if this is the right section of the board to post but i am having problems. Everytime i try to launch an original Xbox game with the hack it will either restart the console or freeze at the Xbox screen. I have RGL, so i'm not sure on what to do. I tried moving the compatibilty files over to the devkit partition which dind't do anything... How do i launch them up? Do i set the .xbe files to dev?

EDIT: I did not install RGL in order to play original Xbox games, that's just stupid. I installed it because i have some proto's that won't run on a normal kernel.

 

I have not used my Xbox for a very long time, so I was not aware that you could play XBE's through RGL.

Why don't you just play the original Xbox games through Freestyle Dash or similar? That is what I do.

RGL? As in the Dev kernel thing? Why?
Just install the hacked compatibility files and run your OG games from wherever, You don't need RGL.

 

If you are just wanting to play original Xbox games you only need to put the compatibility files in partition 2 on your hard drive.
Then you can play the game via Freestyle Dash or something similar.

RGL loader is not used for playing original Xbox games it is for game development.

 

I know what RGL is, i play my 360 proto's on it. But i dind't try that as i thought it was a nand related thing......

No, i asked if i was able to play original Xbox games with RGL, i did not install RGL for the purpose of playing original Xbox games...

 

Ah well Probably sine I can confirm they work fine on a real XDK so maybe you didn't install the compatibility files right? or the game you are trying simply doesn't work?

 

Well i needed to test out a demo, which just restarted the console, i tried the fixed version of Midnight Club 3 which was working before i installed RGL, which just freezes at the Xbox screen. I don't know on what to do....

 

Based on a quick google it seems the backwards compatibility is broken on RGLoader and will not be fixed, You will need to flash back if you want OG Xbox.
