What is RGLoader?

RgLoader is a modified Development kit kernel for RGH and Jtag modified Xbox 360 consoles.
You will get all the features you would with an official development kit, except features which require
a sidecar or extended memory. Some features such as Kernel Debugging can be replicated using the UART
or Ethernet port.

RgLoader also brings some Retail features as it is a hacked development Kernel. They will be listed
below.

**RGLoader is still BETA please use at your own risk , we are not responsible if you brick your console.**

This is likely the last BETA of RGLoader/RGBuild, and there may be a longer wait until the next build so we have
tried to add as many useful features into this build as possible. We wanted to thank all the BETA testers in #rgloader and
#rgloader-dev. You really helped us get this build debugged and ready for release quickly.

Rgloader is built, maintained, and supported by real people with lives outside of IRC and Internet Forums.. We
do this as a hobby, but servers, ZNCs, test systems etc all cost money. If you like the software and can spare a dollar or two,

Features
**************************

RGLoader/RGBuild:

- Dynamic and opensource patches. All patches and binaries get compiled at runtime in RGBuild. Feel free
to modify (at your own risk) any source files in \patches.

- Runtime patching with RGLoader.xex... You can think of this in very simple terms as a dashlaunch like add-on..

- JTAG SUPPORT - Sorry to bring this up, but a lot of people still have fully working Jtag
systems , and are very glad to be able to run it as a Devkit.

- XELL boots with a power on with the eject button for Libxenon homebrew support, and Rawflash access to update easily.

- Corona 16MB motherboard support

- Kernel 15574 is now the default kernel. RDPC should work ... Along with being able to play all the newest games.

Rgloader Runtime Patcher:

- Adds extra patches for xam or any other exe/dll in memory.

- Allows more runtime access and control of patches. Loads rgloader.ini from the
hard drive root or USB flash drive root.

- Block_Live_Dns = Blocks xbox live DNS so you can't "phone home"

- Boot_Animation_Path = \SystemRoot\RGL_bootanim.xex - Custom Bootanim.xex location.

- Boot_Animation_Movie = Hdd:\\bootanim.wmv - Custom Bootanimation file

- Map_USB_Mass = Makes all usb devices and extended partitions show up in xbox neighborhood

- Default_Dashboard = Sets the default dashboard

- No_Sign_Notice = Disables xbox live signin error notice

- Redirect_Xshell_Start_But = Redirects the xshell start button dashboard launch

- Retail_Profile_Encryption = Enables retail profiles on devkit kernel (BETA)
***WARNING: This ^^ may corrupt live profiles! Do not enable this patch if you have profiles you want to keep clean!***

Custom Boot Animation:
- This feature was made specifically with the user in mind. Instead of locking it to a predetermined video, we left it up to the
end user to decide how you want your boot animation to look. There is a default rgloader bootanim, but any WMV should work.
We need some feedback from users on what codecs inside the WMV actually work the best , but so far it seems anything works
Here is an example of a custom boot animation one of our testers made for his limited edition console:

Devkit:

- Full LAN and UART debugging with all the SDK debugging tools.

- XBOX neighborhood browsing and launching of applications.

- No ping limit by default.

- DevKV support -Dummy generation through RGBuild. (will not get on PNET)

- All XEX limits removed, and retail keys added (launches Retail XeXs)

- Full memory editing capabilities. RTE without running an xex for game modding such as COD
and HALO etc ...

- Xbmovie video screen captures (Very Slow even on a real XDK)

- Debug game build support - unreleased games , test builds , Debug BETAs etc ....

Retail/Gaming:

- DVD Auth patch - Retail game discs will spin up and play, burned games if your drive is flashed
including AP2.5 games and XGD3.

- Media, Region, minimum version , etc limits have all been removed for xexs

- NO ping limit for System link for Xlink/Xbslink gaming..

- FCRT restriction is removed so you can use any drive you like.

- Devlink supported to connect with retail consoles.

- Retail Avatar support.

- Retail profile support with patch enabled in rgloader.ini **Careful can corrupt LIVE profiles read previous warning**

Protections:

- Xell On Eject for bad flash correction (almost impossible to brick)

- Recovery disc blocking (protects against bad recoveries or just running them at all)

- Shadow booting is disabled.

- LIVE DNS blocking. (PNET blocking).

- Dummy/Fake KV generation

You will need .NET Framework 4.0 or 4.5 installed. May also work with Mono.


    -Copy rgloader.ini and bootanim.wmv to the root of the hard drive.  


    -Copy the contents of hdd-filesystems to 'Hdd:\Filesystems\15574-dev'


    -Extract the 0v300 builder rar to a folder.


    -Copy 'filesystems' and 'loaders' to the 0v300 builder folder overwriting files/folders.


    -Run the launcher and build your nand
  
    -Open the RGBuild Launcher and type in your CPU_Key and select your build options.


    -Click the NAND button to browse for your source nand image.


    -Click "RGBuilder" button to start the process.


    -Output will be next to this file named: Image._____.bin 


    -Flash this with whatever flash tool you wish.

End User Custom Boot animations : (Show Us Yours)

We decided to let the end user pick what they want to see when the console boots. Just pick a WMV, rename it bootanim.wmv and put it in the root of your HDD.

You were messing around with the version based on the older kernel that was LEAKED...

This is just like when fbbuild gets updated, people announce there is a new version...

Dont see why you are arguing its not new, when this version clearly is...

Thats like saying theres no new version of your tool, despite you releasing numerous updates. I suggest you tell all websites not to announce when you release an update, as clearly it shouldnt be mentioned by anyone.

Definitely a new release guys , this brings stuff that was never even in the old builds .. Retail profile encryption , LIVE DNS Blocking , well you can read the feature list .... RGLoader.xex is the new add-n along with the ability to choose your own boot animation.

It is BETA still and unfortunately we pushed out a release a little too quickly and found a bug.

If you use it and have issues you can PM me for help or join #rgloader on efnet ...

Also, I like that you make the boot animations a title. Meaning the console would've already had to boot (so why the fuck not just show the dashboard already), THEN you show your obsolete animation for the sake of looking cool, and wasting people's time.

edit: just noticed the part about the video playing after kernel loads, so youd definitely be delaying your dash load atleast a tiny bit (edit2: just ntoiced xenon's comment about it)

I will say this though, probably the easiest to use frontend of any nand build ive used

Stop being a dick and why don't you try reading the readme.. We are well aware of this and are working on a solution. It has to do with the directX libraries used in the original bootanim.xex.

Snippet from the rgbuild readme...

===================Custom Boot Animations=======================
Set 'Boot_Animation_Path = \SystemRoot\RGL_bootanim.xex' in rgloader.ini on your hard drive root, and place a bootanimation wmv on the hard drive root
named bootanim.wmv and it will play this movie file when the xbox boots.

NOTICE:
The only way we were able to load wmvs was by waiting for the kernel to fully load before running the boot animation. This doesn't make a lot of sense, and does increase the boot time
by a few seconds so we are working on a way of replacing the normal one. If you do not like this delay, feel free to switch back to the regular animation by:
-Delete 'Boot_Animation_Path' from rgloader.ini on the hard drive root.
-Set 'disable_bootanim = 0' in options.ini, and rebuild/flash your nand image.
