Actor Aubrey Woods has died aged 85. Aubrey was best known for his role as Bill, the sweet shop owner in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (The Candy Man scene), but he has played many roles on television, radio and in the theatre, including parts in Doctor Who, Blake's Seven, Up Pompeii, Futtock's End, Sexton Blake and the original radio production of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/stage/2013/may/14/aubrey-woods RIP Aubrey - another classic British actor sadly no longer with us.
This makes me sad :sorrow: He was a fantastic actor. I don't think they could have casted anyone better to be the candy man in Charlie and the chocolate factory. I feel like he was born for that role.
