The actor, director, producer and writer Bill Paxton has died aged 61 following complications of surgery. Paxton started his career in the film industry in art departments and even directed an episode of Saturday Night Live. He featured in a Pat Benatar music video, and soon had parts in films such as The Terminator, Weird Science, Commando, Aliens, Navy Seals, Predator 2, True Lies, Apollo 13, Twister, Titanic, A Simple Plan, Vertical Limit, Spy Kids 2 and Thunderbirds. However, he was probably best known for his television work, including Big Love, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Texas Rising and Training Day. He won an Emmy for his part in Hatfields and McCoys. Notably, he was the only actor to encounter a terminator, an alien and a predator! http://people.com/movies/bill-paxton-dead-complications-surgery-age-61/ RIP Bill. Thanks for some great roles.
What a Bummer , I really enjoyed his accumulative work, and especially loved his whiny Private Hudson character on Aliens who was priceless for the rather smaller part he played !!! However, and not to take anything away from Bill's prestigious triple-threat recognition of more or less encountering 3 of the most iconic science fiction bad-asses on the planet and paying the ultimate price, let's not forget another great character actor who has also definitely met them all, and one could debate, presumably died in the process, Lance Henriksen . . . though Lance might not be considered able to die in Aliens since he was an android, but doesn't deactivated count ? R.I.P Bill, way too young to go brother, I will miss your work !!! ~ Craig ~
I always like him in the movie frailty. I'm sure he was a great guy and it sucks that he died so early. R.I.P. Bill
