The actress and screenwriter Carrie Fisher has died aged 60 following a heart attack on a flight. Fisher was the daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds. After her debut in Shampoo, Fisher got her most famous role on her own, adamant not to use her mother's name or contacts, that of Princess Leia Organa in Star Wars. She went on to act in several films, including comedies such as The 'Burbs, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Fanboys. After writing Postcards from the Edge, her writing talent was noticed and she became one of the most sought after script doctors in Hollywood. Films she helped save include Hook, The River Wild, The Wedding Singer, Outbreak, Sister Act, Lethal Weapon 3 and the Star Wars prequels (OK, you can't fix everything)! http://people.com/movies/carrie-fisher-dies/ RIP Carrie. Thanks for some amazing films, both on and off screen.
This is terrible news. I was hoping she would recover. Hollywood won't be the same ever again. Rest in piece Carrie Fisher and thank you for everything you brought us. This year was terrible. Let's hope and pray that 2017 is much better.
Thanks for this tribute Retro. This is definetly a really bad new. I have been actively following news about her since the last 4 days, and I was (and I am still) very sad when I heard about her death. I am usually not really sad about celebrity death but this one makes me really sad. She is one of the reason Starwars has made its way into our hearts. She was the perfect Princess Leia, even if her acting skills were not "classic". May the force always be with you Carrie....
Me: I don't think 2016 is going to kill more people in the final month. 2016 enters in biturbo mode. This is probably the worst year of casualties.
