The musician, singer, songwriter and actor Chester Bennington has reportedly committed suicide aged 42.

Benington was best known as the lead vocalist for Linkin Park. However, he also sang with Dead by Sunrise and, from 2013-2015 fulfilled his dream of being in Stone Temple Pilots, again as lead vocalist.

His acting career started with cameos in both Crank movies, before playing one of the skinhead gang in Saw 3D: The Final Chapter. He also appeared in the documentary Artifact.

    Well shit...
When I was in school, one of my classmates passed away. I remember "In the End" was playing on the radio when we all found out, which was the first time I heard the song/band. We all just kind of sat there in silence with that song playing softly. Been big into the band since then, with that particular song having special meaning.
    RIP Chester

Heard about this at work and listened through Hybrid Theory during my run. Still enjoy the whole thing start to finish.
Absolutely. Hybrid Theory is a modern classic and Meteora was a solid follow-up. Listened to both quite a bit.
Nice! That's really cool! Any stories that stick out?

Really enjoyed his work with Linkin Park. It's so sad when someone decides to take their own life.

This is really sad. Plus, the open letter he wrote when Chris Cornell died, it really doesn't make any sense.
