http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33751060 She had quite a career over the years and was friends with may in showbusiness.
I wasn't expecting that. She used to be the clockroom attendant in the club where my dad's band played in the 60's. RIP
The Cavern Club? Was your Dad a Beatle? None of us were expecting it - was such a shock, I went to post it earlier then got caught up in the news and tributes. Something a bit strange about the announcement - I think she was quite ill and had kept it quiet. Still, very sad - she was a great singer and entertainer. RIP Cilla.
Nah, but he did play on the same bill as the Beatles. He's even in a book that was published last year. The book contains 2 promotional pictures that even my dad didn't own but he's on them. Think the book is called Merseyside Beat, sound of the 60's. Still, sad to hear about Cilia passing away. What's hunting is the picture of her taken just two days before her death. She looked perfectly healthy in the photo.
Very nice! Did they get in the charts? There were photos of her from last year looking very frail. This isn't even the worst: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...ck-harvey-goldsmith-rolf-harris-verdict-video
Hmm, she does look pretty poorly in that image. About my dad, not sure if they did have any top 40 success but they did have a record released. I'll find the article as it should mention that.
Apparently it was a stroke; so I presume it was quick. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33778358
