The actor, writer. director and producer Harold Ramis has died aged 69 following a long illness, autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis. Ramis came to light with his writing talent on films such as Animal House, Caddyshack and Stripes, but he was probably best known as his role of Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters films, which he also co-wrote. Other successes include co-writing, directing and producing Groundhog Day and acting roles in films such as Orange County, Airheads and Knocked Up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/26327020 RIP Harold, a sad loss of an amazing talent in several aspects of the movie industry.
RIP. A horrible day. Damn you to hell Bill Murray, we should have gotten another Ghostbusters, but you just wanted to do your artsy crap and now we'll never have Ghostbusters 3.
Sad news indeed farewell Mr Ramis your legacy and contributions to cinema will live on in our hearts forever.
Oh man, that's a real bummer. I really liked Harold Ramis too. I don't know of one film that he's been involved in that I never liked. He always came across as a nice guy too in interviews. Such a shame he's gone and as mentioned above, there will be no Ghostbusters III now for sure. Well, not unless the replace the whole cast and if that was the case then they may as well call it something else.
