It saddens me that I've been doing so many of these of late about some truly great people. The sitcom writer John Sullivan died today. For those unfamiliar with the name, you will probably know some of his work, including Citizen Smith, Only Fools and Horses, Just Good Friends, Dear John, Roger Roger, The Green Green Grass (1st series) and Rock & Chips. The last epsidode of the latter will be on next week - it's sad he didn't get to see it air. RIP John - your work will never be forgotten! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13176198 Here's one of the great moments from Only Fools and Horses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IBgk05iL3Y
without looking at the link above - the scene wouldn't be set in a bar now would it yeah very sad you don't need me to tell you that the show is much better then that one much talked about scene .. :gravedigging:john cheers for the great show
RIP one of the better comedy geniuses. the Only fools episode ''Christmas crackers'' Still makes me laugh.
OMG... I as just about anyone with any taste and sense, have the full OFAH dvd collections. This is such a shame :/ However his work and genius will live on. For me OFAH is a timeless classic. Even today when I rewatch them they still make me laugh and I still feel a great connection and care for the characters. RIP John...
Just watching my old Only fools and horses DVDs.. Then I read this. What a Writer, Great great Sketches came from him.
