The Formula 1 racing driver Jules Bianchi has died after succumbing to injuries sustained at the Japanese Grand Prix nine months ago. Bianchi's car went off the track in wet conditions a lap after Sutil went off at the same location. His car crashed into the tractor recovering Sutil's car. He had been in a coma ever since the crash. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sp...hs-F1-driver-crashed-Japanese-Grand-Prix.html RIP Jules - a tragic loss of a young, talented driver.
I had hopes he would survive, i've been following his battle since the accident. Damn, it's such a shame to see a young talent die like this. I like cars and motorsports for as long as i remember and i have genuine respect for anyone involved with them, specially drivers. His 9th place at Monaco last year, giving Marussia first ever (and only) points was simply fantastic. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Jules
Sad but not entirely unexpected, it was a miracle the crash didn't kill him instantly. That 9th place was really something, too bad we never got to see him in a Ferrari. "Another"? This is the first driver death F1 has had in over 20 years.
I think he's out of the coma and recovering at home, but they're not saying much. It's a long road for him, too. Both were extremely fortunate to survive their accidents at all.
A shame indeed for a young talented driver But whether his family donated his organs or not depends on his and their religious beliefs........
