The actress Lauren Bacall has died aged 89, following a suspected stroke. She rose to fame after speaking one of the most famous cinematic lines, "You know how to whistle, don’t you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow," in her very first film, To Have and to Have Not alongside Humphrey Bogart. After having an affair, they married the following year. Under the Studio System, she starred alongside her husband in several Warner Bros movies, including The Big Sleep and Dark Passage. She later took to the stage, winning two Tony awards.
