http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/27/a...of-star-trek-dies-at-83.html?smid=tw-bna&_r=2 Sad news. Grew up watching Star Trek. Love Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) too. Live long and prosper. (He did!)
Not a Star Trek guy but his voice was iconic. A bit of a shock and a real downer to end my shitty week on.
As per all actors, he was more than just one role... but it's testament to his skill that he was best remembered for one. He brought us so many great roles... let's not forget Master Xehanort from the Kingdom Hears series, Civilization IV and Seaman, of course! RIP Leonard - thanks for Spock and so many other great characters!
Grieving for Spock would be irrational. Nimoy is Not Spock. Except for when he is. (in which case) Nimoy is Spock. Then grieving for Nimoy would cause pain for Spock. He will be missed.
