The actress and television presenter Lynda Bellingham has died aged 66, after losing her fight with cancer.

She was a well-known face on British television for four decades, appearing in shows such as General Hospital, Z Cars, Blakes 7, All Creatures Great and Small, Martin Chuzzlewit, The Bill, Second Thoughts and it's sequel, Faith in the Future. She even appeared in the movie Sweeney!, although perhaps her most remembered role was that of the Mum in the OXO adverts. She was The Inquisitor in the longest Doctor Who storyline, The Trial of a Time Lord.

Lynda turned her hand to presenting on Loose Women in 2007, was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 and was awarded an OBE earlier this year for her charity work.
