Marshall Lytle, one of the early bassists in Bill Haley's Comets, has died aged 79 after losing his battle with cancer. Marshall played on several recordings, including the original recording of Rock Around the Clock. He also co-wrote Crazy Man, Crazy, among other songs. There's no link for this news as yet - I got it from his widow. RIP Marshall - a great, inspirational bassist, a legend and a lovely man. Thanks for some great music - it continues to be regularly played over 50 years later!
