RIP Nick Ashford

Nick Ashford, half of the Motown songwriting duo Ashford & Simpson with his wife, Valerie Simpson, has died.

Some of their hits include:

Let's Go Get Stoned - Ray Charles
Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
I'm Every Woman - Chaka Khan
The Wiz - wrote some of the songs for the musical
Tears Dry on Their Own - Amy Winehouse (co-writers for the Ain't No Mountain sample!)

They also had many albums as singers themselves.
