The author Phyllis Dorothy James, Baroness James of Holland Park, OBE, FRSA, FRSL has died, aged 94. Faber and Faber published her first novel, Cover Her Face, in 1962. As with many of her novels, it was a crime mystery starring detective Adam Dalgliesh. Anglia Television adapted her Dalgliesh novels as television dramas, and The Children of Men became a film.
