    Peter Wragg, legendary special effects expert and modelmaker, has died.

    Peter was well known for his involvement in several classic science fiction and comedy shows and films, including Thunderbirds Are GO, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Doctor Who, Red Dwarf , Filthy, Rich & Catflap, The Detectives and Bottom.

    This is really sad news, speaking as a red dwarf fan (hurry up with the new series dave!!) you have to admit his starbug crashes were epic.

    He was a very talented man indeed. And model issues were his speciality - that's how he got started, dealing with awkward Thunderbirds that were causing a headache for the model makers!

    Red Dwarf X has completed studio taping so is in post production and is due to be broadcast in 2012.
