Hi, I recently acquired a Bandai Pippin @mark and it came with something very interesting called "Pippin TITLE CD-ROM CATALOG" from March 1996.

It's basically what it says, a cd-rom catalog for the pippin. Its in Japanese and is filled with images and quick-time videos of released/unreleased games. I was naive in thinking that these cd-roms would be readable in a normal cd drive and I could pull this info off, but unfortunately this isnt the case. :-(

Anybody have any ideas how I can extract this valuable information and create a comprehensive Pippin software list?

They're probably in Mac HFV format. There's a program call HFV Explorer that should be able to view them. I'm not sure if it will view HFV files from an actual disk though.

Turns out they're a Mode 1 data CD with an HFS filesystem so HFV Explorer works great, although the cd-rom catalog disc only contains 1 file. I'm going to install SheepShaver and look at these files under MacOS.
