I finally nabbed a Victor HD-9500 VHD player and loaded up Road Avenger (titled Road Blaster here) for the Sharp X1 VHD system. I couldn't play the game, but the video came out great. Unboxing and operation:
Was worried with the lack of updates. Thanks a lot for this! Can't wait to get home to watch it. Edited: By the way, i noticed you removed the videos from your secondary channel. I think your current channel seems to be missing some of the videos like the Super Famicom Perfect Video 92-93 promotion Laserdisc
Thanks, I'll reupload it. I got in some copyright trouble with the other channel and switched it over.
I see. It's kind of bizarre a company (or more) decided to annoy you for videos they probably don't even remember they made, let alone formats that haven't been used for ages. Anyway, when i recommended your channel i always posted both links.
I remember hearing about this and how the player itself with the attachment to the X1 is balls to the wall rare.
Really enjoyed watching this. Thanks again stuntpeople. Now, i'm really curious to know how this compares to the Arcade LaserDisc version.
Just asking: This version of Road Blaster for X1... The videos are displayed in which resolution and framerate? And, for comparison, which resolution and framerate the Arcade LaserDisc version of the same game is displayed?

That is very cool. I saw the Time Gal VHD show up on YJA a year or so ago but it went for pretty insane monies.
$700 I believe, the Laseractive version went for that even though the label was scuffed up, and it's not nearly as rare.
So I went back to double check, the final price on the Time Gal VHD from June 5, 2014 was 83,000 Yen. LaserActive copies go for around $1000, I'm guessing the price is higher because of demand. It's much easier (and cheaper overall I'd think) to get a LaserActive and PAC and play Time Gal that way, than trying to get the whole MSX LD setup, plus the game, plus hope the cassette still works as well. The experience would be expensive either way though :O
