Rockin Kats Prototype

So a few weeks ago a good friend of mine called me up and started telling me about an odd nes game he picked up at our local game store. He said it was just the circuit board and had a bunch of chips with windows on them. I told him that it sounded like he got a hold of an nes prototype and that if he wanted to he could come over an test it out. I also told him to keep the chips out of sunlight as it could erase the data on the board. When he got over and we popped it in the games was Rockin Kats. As we were going through the first I noticed a few graphical differences and half way through stage 3 I noticed a few things that would normally be changed in the US release of an nes games. (Ex. Cross shaped tombstones being changed into just generic ones.) After playing through it all I asked my friend if he was going to dump and share the roms online. He said he didn't mind but he needed the tools to do so. After hunting around for a few days he told me he managed to find the means to do so.

tl;dr A Friend found a prototype for the nes game Rockin Kats and plans on dumping for free. I'll post more when he sends me a copy of the dump to playthrough it to make sure nothing happened in the dumping process. Should have a download for everyone here by the end of the week. Update: I got to talk to my friend today and he told me that it was a challenge but he got it dumped and sent me a copy of the rom. Thankfully the copy of the rom he sent me works from what I've played so far. I'm now looking around for a good site to upload the rom to. If anyone knows of a good site please let me know. Until then here's some screen shots showing a few of the more major differences.

The differences between this proto and final are all graphical (ie. PRG is identical to final US, all differences are in the CHR). The proto is a mix-and-mach between the US and JP versions, with all differences between the proto and US final coming from the JP version, yet still being different from the JP version. I'd say it's like a 50% localisation proto.
