    wow, amazign she lived that long, its sad to hear. She would always be remembered for her brave act in history that helped the civil rights movement.

    She was really admirable, and an example for mankind. I hope many people carry her message on.

    What made me feel sad was when she was robbed in her apartment, she asked the mugger/robber, "Do you know who I am?"; he said he did but didn't care, and robbed her anyway.

    What a cool woman. I must admit until this thread I had never heard of her (my history, especially US is very poor), but having read about her a little she was a frankly amazing lady. My respect gs out to her family, and my thanks to you for educating me:)

    it wasn't racist...tasteless yes. Maybe you should look into the subject before you make accusations like this.

    Don't worry about it. Just don't say tasteless things about certain people because it will make you out to be a certain type of person, even if you aren't.
