What we want is more stupid crap with Sonic characters? Can't be excited about this since Superstars Tennis was somehow a crappier Virtua Tennis, and because the last Sonic racing game was an abomination.
Indeed Mario Kart on the Wii was quite dull I thought MK DS was the best one,but it could be because I started playing the series with the DS version.
I never thought I d meet someone who hasn't played mariokart 64.. it's the best version by far in my view, and my view is laced with nostalgia-cocaine. The DS version is spot on though and it needed some skill, as did the GC version - the Wii version is for simpletons, there's no challenge whatsoever, just luck and waggle.
One of my funnest Spring Break's ever was blazing up at a friend's place and playing MK64 all day. My girlfriend was fucking livid when I didn't come home until the wee hours.
I wasn't going to say this but I'm writing a movie that loosely relates to shenmue. And by loosely I'm...the Chi-yoo-min (or was it Cheyoumin) whatever, are the organization behind what's going on int he plot, but Lan Di and the others aren't around and some people refer to "2 kids that found a sword in the 80s but then got trapped in the cave and never got out and were never seen again" Still...it's something
We can't have much sense in SEGA games as of late  Re point 2.. Mariokart 64 has been a main stoning attraction for years now (as is the case with all n64 classics!)... We still play it on a n64 whenever we re fucked up and next to an old tube.
I can't believe I paid full price for Mario Kart Wii. That was in the days before I was blind to what the Wii really was... My dad enjoyed it though. Give me Block Fort or give me death!
Ironic. We all waited for the first online console mariokart and now we can't give a rat's ass. On that note, nintendo really need to reconsider their online plans, their platform is archaic and ages behind Xbox Live/PSN =/ I wonder how much of that has to do with the weaker hardware considerations.
It's not like the Wii is about games anyway, it's about things where you wave a remote around to badly simulate motion. Remember how cool motion controls sounded and what kind of interesting stuff could've been done with the concept? THIS is what we got, a platform seemingly tailor made for half-assed shovelware? :banghead:
How many people that own wiis actually play them? Of all the Wii Owners I know only 1 of them actually plays it frequently and How many 360s will people buy once natal launches? Can't answer that
I own a Wii and play it. The problem is that people are just plain fucking dumb and buy in to all the hype. Not me though. I hate hype. I don't own one stupid waggle the remote type game. I find them retarded. I bought a Wii hoping that Nintendo would return to the days of the Super Famicom after the mess they made with the N64 and Game Cube. No such luck but still, take away all t hat family shit and you've got some great games. The latest being Dead Space Extraction as I mentioned. And on the 29th we have Sin and Punishment 2 released in Japan. A must buy for any real gamer if the N64 original is anything to go by. Then we have No More Heroes 2 coming very soon. Wii has a lot of great original games but unfortunately is also home to a lot of shit. Oh, and install the Home Brew Channel and change the Wii in to a region free media box. Mine plays AVI, MP4 video, DVDs, all manner of audio files, online radio, You Tube channels, fantastic emulations for Mega Drive, Super Famicom, NES, Neo Geo, Amiga, Atari ST, MSX, PC Engine, and all those 8 bit systems and so on. Yes, your 360 and probably PS3 can do all this too but for those with only a Wii then after installing the Home Brew Channel will give them basically a TV set top entertainment box for very little money.
