I have some really rare dev hardware, but it's pretty much caked in dust and some grime. I used to have some great PCB cleaning spray, but it's all illegal now with the no CFC laws. Anyone use PCB cleaning spray at work or home that can suggest a brand?
Yep, if you can find 'Wynn's Electrical Contact Cleaner' I'd highly recommend it... ...Don't know if you can get it in the U.S though?
http://www.instawares.com/Misty-Contact-and-Circuit-Board-Cleaner-III.AMRA36816.0.7.htm?trackcode=WREPTECAMRA36816 I also use Flux-cleaner for some dishnetwork recivers I have that are in really bad shape. I swear by that one, since it took care of a IRD I once had with coffee spilt all over the circuit board
Doing some research here as this is a one of a kind item.. And it's about 16 years old. The issue I have is that it's made partly from bakelite (yes looks like bakelite)
the only I've ever read on (arcade) pcb cleaning is here: http://solvalou.mine.nu/technical/pcb_care/ but I'm guessing that it's not what you had in mind =/
