What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/Windows-7-Ultim...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c0f056ca7
His feedback suggests you'd get the key and it would work. My guess is he got these through their MSDN services via ISV or spark. I guess you never know for sure if it'd work forever. For 20 bucks it might be worth it, but its up to you. my 2 cents
One guy sells 7 Ultimate keys for 10$ now... that's like what, 7€? You won't even get two packs of cigarettes for that. Still, I bought one too, for 20$ though from a seller with more feedback. EDIT: Bought from the same guy sonik bought from and received the key within 15 minutes or so. Looks legit, will try it tomorrow. Google returned nothing when searching for this key. EDIT2: Just installed Windows 7 Ultimate from my original System Builder disc with the supplied key, activated fine.
Thanks for the advice. I ended up buying from another seller with better feedback. http://cgi.ebay.com/Windows-7-Ultim...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item45f0212729 The key is already in my email. I will try it when I get home.
I've personally been using MSDN keys for many months, and have had my personal computer on Win7 Ultimate x64 + a key off the MSDN since august or september. Never had issues. -Doom
That's an amazing price. It's almost worth the risk. I wonder how he does it? Can you register the key multiple times and he's double selling maybe? EDIT: Nevermind, I see you can get 10 keys for all MS software for $349 technet subscription. Not bad at all.
There are even cheaper ways of doing things like this. Also the software list is huge. Look at BizSpark program. When i was first reading about it they need almost no proof of having a startup either. EDIT:
It does. Gives you 10 copies of each version of the OS as well. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/showpost.php?p=107736&postcount=88 It includes pretty much everything you would want from Microsoft. Including office. Its basically a MSDN subscription.
This may be considered thread necromancy... But be careful If it is a fraudulent biz spark or msdn account... You can get burned as bad if not worse than the seller who opened the account. I have seen it happen in the past to a few other friends on the internet. Most Biz Spark / MSDN Premium / MSDN OS Subscription Accounts will give you 10 activations per key Per OS. And the 10 activations do not require the target pc being the identical PC that it was first installed to. *start personal rambling oppinion* Personally I have a technet account. its cheap and gets the job done... I personally buy my copys of Visual Studio Team Edition ala retail so If I cant afford to renew my technet subscription... at least I still have what I need to put cash in the bank.... *end my personal rambling oppinion* Xeveniah Darkwind
To check whether activation is full once you try those keys: Winkey + R Type: cmd In DOS window Type: slmgr /xpr A small window pops up and states validation period (if due to expire) or states as activated. Still not worth me moving from OSX lol - but I do hear from current MS users that it's actually a good OS.
Well. Necromancy i know. But over the course of trying. Got my one legit key i mentioned earlier. Then proceeded to get fucked out of about 180-200 bucks thanks to fraudulent sellers with plenty of feedback. Really quite pissed as now my dad is having ot go through all kinds of shit to try to get our money back. meh, i should have seen this coming.
New update. As of this morning apparently my windows ISNT valid. Which I find odd considering its been running for almost 4 months now without as much as a hiccup. And tech-support was less than helpful. Nice to see i get to buy win7 AGAIN. I live on less than 50 bucks a week Kill me now.
I guess they just gave you a key generated serial instead of a legit one. Strange that it took 4 months for the genuine advantage detection to kick in.
