    In Japan:
Board runs about 40,000 - 50,000 yen. Games vary.
Demolition fist runs about $50, whereas something like Rumble Fish (new) is still in the 80,000 yen range.

For the amount of good games you get, the board is not worth it IMHO. Dolphin Blue is still between 15,000 to 20,000. When the price of it comes down, I'll buy a board.

If you were especially into pissing money away, you could buy it from someone in the UK. Just change the $ sign w/ the UK Pound sign.

I would say go for it if its in good condition, they aren't terribly expensive, but they normally are sold with a few games which can make it expensive. Check around first though, see if you can get access to a cheap source of Naomi carts, I know a few places in Germany sell them cheap, but postage is normally a killer. :smt071

    hi

keep in mind that you will need a i/o board to make it run on a jamma cab or super gun.

if you use a regular sega I/o you will also need a aditional ac (3.3V) , so the best thing you can do is to buy a capcom i/o board , which has a build in 3.3v ac.

problem is that the capcom i/o will not work with a gd-rom :/

you can get a new Guilty Gear 1.5 atomiswave kit for about 440$ , check http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/pcbs/atomiswave_system.html

oh , btw , if you need any naomi soft pm me :)

    see ya

I think a lot of fans prefer it this way, if they are filtered they should look good. Hi res SNK charas is a no-no, the looked like ass in CvS/2.

I prefer the old ones anyway :smt033

ehh.... the sprites in cvs1+2+pro are low res 2d sprites , thats why they look so ugly on high-res 3d backgrounds (same as knights of valour on the atomiswave).

anyway, high-res sprites are not that important to me but they should have atleast the quality of garou.

if you ask me , the game looks like snk vs capcom on the mvs , and thas realy embarrassing for the atomiswave.

play some SF3 3rd strike (not the ugly DC version) and you know how a up-to-date 2d fighter should look like.

Yeah perhaps the SNK dudes in CVC weren't hi res, they did look ass under the filters and whatever Crapcom did to them to make them look "nice".

I was truly miffed that they didnt look like they should do......like the MVS sprites.

Can't pls everyone all the time :smt009

  16. The NeoGeo store is selling Atomiswave kits. $525 for a system with Demolish Fist game. Apparently, its hard to find just the carts though. DF is about the only game that pops up on Ebay, for about $150 a pop.

I want Dolphin Blue and Chaos Field. If enough decent shooty games come out, I may well consolize an Atomiswave.

And the games are small enough to fit in VHS cases. Cool.

  17. Okay, that Battle Collesseum would kick ass, however, Marco would always win, because you just hold down the shoot button and throw grenades at them. And heaven help them if you get in the Metal Slug...

And they had better include Mars People as a playable character, they did it in SVC, so there's no reason not to.
