Hi guys. I find this down my Mums garage the other day. It's a working 'Sample' SNES World Heroes. Out of interest how collectible are these Sample carts, are they worth much? Cheer, Mark
Oh WOW! well sample carts do go into rarity by many sample collectors & enthusiasts/researchers i believe some can go pretty expensive depending how much are out there in the world! your very lucky to actually owning one
Wonder if it has any differences from the final beyond that title screen. If it does you've got something potentially of decent value though I'm sure it's worth more than it would had it been a regular cart.
I have these two carts. are they worth anyting? I am not really into sample etc. collecting unless it's PCE stuff.
I don't know if it is US or not. at least the ingame text is everything in english, altough it feels more kinda engrish at some points..haha. I also have no final release to compare.
I'm guessing it could be an early translation attempt on the Japanese version i guess i wish i had a Super Famicom or a SupaBoy v2.0 to test them :/
I'll check it later again when I am home. the japanese version seems to be, quite obvioulsy, in japanese only. the PAL release semed to have multilingual settings. I'll check out if I can spot out some differences to certain screen shots taken from the net. It certainly doesn't look like a final build tho.
OK I had it checked and it seem that is uses the very same build like the one seen on this page: http://www.snescentral.com/review.php?id=0829&num=0&fancy=yes&article=proto very same engrish text, no langage menu. seems that there are now three copies
OK, I had it checked and it seem that is uses the very same build like the one seen on this page: http://www.snescentral.com/review.php?id=0829&num=0&fancy=yes&article=proto very same engrish text, no langage menu. identically. I have opened the cart and it seems that it uses the very same PCB as the one shown below, but with an extra chip placed on the top left location instead of the empty DIP-socket: seems that there are now three copies
O okay, then i've seen this Sample version before from that same website (^-^) i thought it were a different version or something? But awesome you actually own one. Also whats that other sample cart under The Fireman?
It is batman returns written on it. But that seems to be identically with the released version. Ill also post some pcb pics later
Check to see if the Batman Returns prototype is the same as the one I have on my site: http://www.snescentral.com/article.php?id=0863
I have already checked it on your pages, and it seems to be identically with the released version. Start option and continue screen. But the firemen is def. the same as your prototype.
