I've ripped the following sample from a pc engine red book audio track (peeps may guess now from which one ). http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WAR3V2VS but the actual reason for this thread is, I like to now this samples name (if there is any specific name for it, which I guess there is, in kinda technical jargon) and how it's made? as it is a quite often heared sample used in several horror flicks, and creeps me out when ever I hear it . I think, it's kind of a distorted violin or sumthing. but well it's probaly just a synthetic created noise anyway. thanks for helping
