I just picked this up at the goodwill outlet for less than eight bucks. I had no idea about the nuon before today. I happened to notice the controller ports on the dvd player and did a quick search. I couldn't find the controller there; just console. Anybody know where to pick up a controller? Not sure if I'm going to keep it but I kind of want to try it out first. And how really rare are these things? (If this is in the incorrect sub forum; please move; thanks)
Not very rare, but a great price. Look for a tempest iso, I have never played the sequel to tempest 2000. I hear it's awesome.
A NUON at a goodwill? Noice! As for the controller, it might be on ebay somewhere. Also I would agree w/ ASSEMbler, try to burn a Tempest 3000 iso if you can anyway. Also these things are as rare as hen's teeth. They might as well catch high prices on eBay. Getting one for $8 is one of the greatest deals I've seen.
Already searched ebay and came up dry. I downloaded tempest last night but haven't put it in yet. The 8 dollars also included two ps3 move controllers.
Double noice! Anyway, idk what to say. Try amazon maybe. If that doesnt work out might as well get another one w/ a controller
I had a Nuon a number of years ago but got rid of it because I never used it. Seems I have a habit of doing that. Nuon, RCA Studio II, 3DO, CDi, LaserActive, etc, etc.
"Most obscure console ever" is a pretty big exaggeration. I can think of others that are much more obscure.
Well you learn something new every day! I havent heard of it until 1-2 years ago. I think Game Sack did an episode on it.
Try to look for some Logitech ones. I've got 10 brand new (and sealed) Logitech Nuon pads. I'm in France. A few years ago it was easy to find some. Kudos from grabbing the player so cheap.
Try looking at it from this angle: If you're interested in even a single Nuon game, you already like 12.5% of its whole library...
IIRC there were only 3. All of them were 20th Centry Fox. Only one i would get would be Planet of the Apes (2001).
