Found this site tonight that shows you some pretty dodgy stuff from music played backwards. Most disturbing ones are Kiss, Kiss, Kiss by Yoko Ono which says "I shot John Lennon" or the Beatles I'm so Tired that says "Paul is a dead man, miss him, miss him, miss him ! That one sounds very clear too. There are a few joke ones on there such as Pink Floyd or Wired Al. Find them at http://jeffmilner.com/backmasking.htm

The Weird Al one is classica, and pretty much the only one you can tell was put in intentionally. :)

More props to queen. It is indeed fun to smoke marijuana... that's why so many people do it.

Most of these I wouldn't be able to understand unless someone told me what they were beforehand.

Ah, the whole mystery of the Beatles' reference to John Lennon (I think) being dead or not, I heard about that years ago and I thought it was pretty freaky.

One of my favourity bands, Boards of Canada, has some pretty spooky stuff hidden in it as well: http://www.speakeasy.org/~adbrown/boc.html

Something not mentioned on that site, but on another which is now sadly gone, is when you play their song "You Could Feel the Sky" (pretty freaky song at that), go to position X (forgot), and slow it down Y (like 20) times, you can hear a woman screaming with church bells in the background

Anyone of you people ever seen Macross Plus?

If you have, you'll recall the "Virtruoid Idol" Sharon Apple has songs that subliminally control the ones who listen to them.

Yoko Kanno directed that soundtrack. Genius as she is. Sharon Apple's main hit song in the movie is called "Idol Talk". If you are somehow able to isolate the bass channel, or simply of you listen to the song very carefully, you'll find it's filled with VERY explicit audio samples from pornographic movies in English.

Now THAT'S good audio engineering and simulated subliminality.
